Range imageElectrical linear heat detection cable, 187 °C, LSZH sheathed.
Electrical linear heat detection cable. Two solid core copper conductors are held apart by a heat-sensitive polymer; at about 187 °C the polymer yields, the conductors short together and the control panel registers an alarm anywhere along the run.
Unlike the pneumatic tube it signals the panel rather than releasing agent directly, so it suits electrically actuated systems and areas needing alarm without discharge. The LSZH sheath emits low smoke and no halogen when burning, which is why it is specified for cable galleries, tunnels and conveyors. 4.57 mm OD, light grey, UL approved.
Configuration review. Catalogue reference data for Linear Heat Sensing Cable LHS: Detection Type: Electrical; MOC: Solid Core Copper Wire with LSZH Sheath; Detection Temp: 187 °C. These values describe this product. Confirm the remaining interfaces and operating requirements against the system drawing and current manufacturer documentation.
Selection checks. Define the signal the system needs and confirm compatibility with the panel or pneumatic arrangement. Include normal temperature, dust, moisture, airflow and mounting details in the enquiry. Device position and routing must follow the system design; matching the operating voltage or physical size alone is insufficient.
Before ordering. For a Linear Heat Sensing Cable LHS quotation, provide the required quantity, installation or replacement context, and the associated equipment model. Include photographs or drawings of the interfaces and any project documentation requirements. Ask the supplier to identify the exact offered configuration and the scope of installation, commissioning or servicing included.
